FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Francisco, CA – July 9, 2015 – Utility companies assembling this month at the AEGIS Policyholders’ Conference will address industry risks through a four-day program that includes a session on public safety outreach by Culver Company. In a presentation entitled Benefits of Prevention-Based Strategic Public Safety Outreach for Utilities, Culver will share its longitudinal studies of key utility audiences and explain how data-driven public outreach mitigates risk, enhances customer engagement, and improves a company’s brand. The presentation is part of AEGIS’ annual forum to address industry risks that includes topics ranging from public safety hazards and cyber security to the exposures presented by catastrophic events and new technologies. The AEGIS Annual Policyholders’ Conference takes place July 20–23, 2015, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, 2800 Opryland Drive, Nashville, TN. Attendance is by invitation only and the conference is closed to the media.
According to Principal Brennan Culver, “In our session we will share findings from our public safety outreach programs spanning 38 states, including tabulated data from more than 1.1 million at-risk workers and over 2 million school-age students and their families. We’ll also examine trends, highlight effective practices, and discuss how they translate into long-term business benefits, especially risk mitigation.
"With an emphasis on results, we’ll also take a look at public safety program benchmarking and the performance of utilities that integrate their programs, tailor communications, and target multiple audiences. Prevailing studies show that such outreach efforts not only reduce risk but also improve customer satisfaction, brand value, regulatory affairs, and business outlook. We’re eager to share our findings in this forum and to hear directly from industry leaders about the risk-related challenges they face,” concluded Culver.
